LEF Network Azerbaijan Interreg Central Baltic program project

On February 16, 2024, the LEF Network Azerbaijan Interreg Central Baltic program project and AHK Azerbaijan hosted a webinar titled "Education System of Azerbaijan - Potential Collaboration Opportunities" via Zoom.

The event, conducted in English with simultaneous translation and Q&A sessions, featured a lineup of distinguished speakers and moderators. Participants gained insights into Azerbaijan's education policy, advantages of education in the country, and opportunities for cooperation in local and international education. The webinar also delved into vocational education, international relations, and opportunities within Azerbaijan's education landscape.

This collaborative initiative aims to foster partnerships and enhance educational prospects within Azerbaijan and beyond.

On February 29, 2024, the LEF Network Azerbaijan Interreg Central Baltic Program project and AHK Azerbaijan hosted a webinar titled "Development of Green Technologies in Azerbaijan" via Zoom.

The webinar aimed to shed light on sustainable practices and progress in the field of green technologies in Azerbaijan. During the event, experts and key stakeholders from different sectors presented on water and wastewater management policies, renewable energy and the development of Azerbaijan's land and sea transportation network. For example, water and wastewater management in Azerbaijan and the SDGs were addressed and placed in the context of current technological developments.

Interactive Q&A sessions gave participants the opportunity to interact with the speakers and discuss the topics in greater depth. As a result, cooperation opportunities for companies and organisations from Latvia, Estonia and Finland in the fields of energy, green technologies, logistics, transport water and wastewater could have been successfully elaborated.

AHK Azerbaijan, in cooperation with the Joint Support Network for Export Development from Finland, Estonia and Latvia to Azerbaijan, hosted a Presentation event on Education & Green Tech topics followed by a B2B session.

The event took place on March 14-20, 2024, at the Courtyard by Marriot Hotel Baku. The main objective of the meetings was to facilitate the exchange of information on green technologies, education, tourism, water and wastewater sectors in Azerbaijan and to explore potential avenues for future cooperation. Participants included representatives from 23 Azerbaijani companies, as well as five companies each from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.

The project LEF network Azerbaijan's vision is to increase innovations and the bio-economy of the region by exporting services, know-how and goods to Azerbaijan. As a result, the Central Baltic region will be more sustainable and competitive.

AHK Azerbaijan was thrilled to foster productive conversations and lay the groundwork for future partnerships between Azerbaijani companies and esteemed counterparts from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.
