The "German Language for Business" is a cooperation project of the AHK Azerbaijan and the German Language Learning Centre Azerbaijan (SLZ) - Partner of the Goethe-Institut.

Course "German Language for Business"
The course will prepare you for important situations in business life. It is specially designed for employees and companies as well as for students who would like to work in a German-speaking business environment in the future.
After the course, there is the possibility to take the examination „International Business German Exam“ at the AHK Azerbaijan.

Cource content
The course content covers a wide range of topics relevant to daily business life. The active use of language, expansion of vocabulary and conversation are particularly important.
Topics will include:
- Arranging meetings and appointments (setting, postponing, canceling appointments)
- Conducting telephone conversations
- Business correspondence (formal letters and e-mails)
- Business meetings (opening, leading, problem solving, closing of the meeting)
- Presentations and protocols of meetings
- Invitations to company events, greeting of guests
- Presentation of the program, expression of gratitude
- Enquiry offer of goods or services
- Complaint, warning
- Letter of application, curriculum vitae in tabular form
- Description of everyday work activities
- Informal conversations with the managing director, colleagues and business partners
Course fee
The course fee is 400 AZN including VAT.
The course fee covers 75 lessons. The „International Business German Exam“ is not part oft he course.
Requirement
Good B2/C1. Sprachlernzentrum will evaluate the German skills individualy.

„International Business German Exam“
The exam is aimed at German learners that would like to officially prove their Business German Language skills on the advanced level of (min.) C1.
The „International Business German Exam“ is a standardised and internationally recognised exam. The AHK Azerbaijan is the only provider of the exam in Azerbaijan with support of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag, DIHK).
Exam contents
The exam consists of four parts:
- Reading comprehension with four subtests (75 minutes)
- Listening comprehension with three subtests (60 minutes)
- Written expression with a subtest (45 minutes)
- Oral exam (20 minutes)
Exam dates
The next “International Business German Exam” will take place on 3 July 2021 at AHK Azerbaijan.
Registration is now possible online until Friday, 11 June 2021 at the latest.
Exam regulations
The "Rules for Conducting the Exam" provide detailed information about the exam procedure, correction and evaluation of the individual exam sections as well as certification.
The PWD is open to anyone whose native language is not German. Participation in the exam is not tied to attending a specific preparatory course.

190 AZN (VAT included)
140 AZN (VAT included) for course graduates
