AHK Azerbaijan hosted its second informational event on 'Technological Innovations for Sustainability: Emerging Technologies Enhancing Environmental Performance Across Various Industries' at the COP29 Green Zone in Baku on November 18, 2024.

This event was part of the series themed "Innovate, Collaborate, Transform - Expectations for COP29," which aims to support COP29 in Azerbaijan, focusing on the crucial role of innovation and collaboration in addressing global sustainability challenges and shaping the future of climate action. 

We were privileged to hear from distinguished speakers, including: 

• Emin Ilyas, Board Member of AHK Azerbaijan, warmly welcomed the guests and shared valuable insights on the topic, setting the stage for the discussions ahead. 
• Soltan Bayramov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolutions, delivered an engaging keynote, highlighting the latest tech advancements and their potential to reshape industries while promoting sustainable practices. 
• Vitaliy Yakovlev, Head of the Infrastructure Sector and Managing Partner at KPMG, provided valuable perspectives on financing the green transition, emphasizing sustainable solutions for a greener future.  
• Orkhan Guliyev, Chief Operations Officer at Caspian Innovation Center LLC-SOCAR, shared his expertise on innovative energy solutions and the role of technology in advancing sustainability in the energy sector.  
• Manuella Traldi, President of the Italy-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (ITAZERCOM), offered insights on international collaboration and opportunities for sustainable business models and tech innovations in both Italy and Azerbaijan.

The panel discussion was especially enriching, covering key topics like sustainable infrastructure, green tech, digital transformation, and how innovation can shape the future of industries. 

As we face the challenges of climate change and the push for more sustainable practices, the importance of technological innovation is clearer than ever. It was truly inspiring to see how these leaders are driving positive change through their work.
